  "The DfE's methodology: “For the 2026 provisional statistical release, it has been assessed and determined that no suppression of data is required above school level (or equivalent).” Its release says “This release is based on provisional data”, revised the following spring.",
  "England's figure is the DfE's own. Its England row counts more pupils than its regions together, which its methodology does not explain, so the checks hold each region's councils to it, and England to its CSV, until the DfE says why (decision 48.2).",
  "The City of London has no state secondary school. The share with grade 4 or above in English and maths is the hub's ks4-by-council, which the checks hold these figures to when both read the same year."
