Notes
- Accredited official statistics from the returns each coroner area makes to the Ministry of Justice for the calendar year. From 1995 the deaths reported include those that needed neither a post-mortem nor an inquest.
- Inquest conclusions are recorded in the year an inquest ends, which is often not the year it opened.
- The MoJ marks 2024 as revised.
- The MoJ marks 2025 as provisional.
