Suffrago UK Data Hub
RankingsVerificationMethods

Independent service run by Suffrago – not an official government website. Every figure comes from an official UK publisher under its open licence and is checked against that source each time the data is refreshed.

Rankings

Each list is one dataset's newest period for one kind of area. The publishers' own ranks show as their figures; on the lists in order, the hub numbers the publishers' figures itself, 1 being the highest.

Equal figures share a position and sit together in name order. A place the publisher gives no figure for is named under its list. Each list links to its dataset's page, which has every place, the source, the licence and the checks.

Small areas are named with the wards their output areas sit in, by the ONS's output area to ward lookup.

Ranked by the publisherA rank or decile the publisher prints: its figure, checked against its file like any other.
Ranked by the hubThe publishers' figures in order, highest or lowest first. The number before a place is the hub's own position in the list, not the publisher's: equal figures share one, marked =.
Ranked by the publisher

Deprivation, as each government ranks it

Each rank and decile here is the publisher's own figure, checked against its file like any other. England's and Wales's indices are ranked apart and never set side by side, and neither compares its editions rank for rank. A council's page lists every one of its small areas with its rank and decile.
