Notes

  • Accredited official statistics from the incident records fire and rescue services complete, collected by the Fire and Rescue Data Platform since November 2025 (the Incident Recording System before), whose move brought small revisions. MHCLG gives each authority's quarters but no year, so the hub gives none.
  • Quarters are MHCLG's financial-year quarters, shown by their months: the first quarter of 2026/27 is April to June 2026. England's figure is MHCLG's own, from its quarterly table. The chart draws the latest quarter beside the same quarter a year before and leaves England to the table.
  • An authority with no row in MHCLG's table for a quarter shows why rather than 0. Lancashire's and Leicestershire's latest figures are provisional, and MHCLG says Suffolk's from September 2024 to June 2025 are too low, since it could not submit every incident.
  • Each authority is named as the ONS's register of areas names the code MHCLG gives it, so MHCLG's Greater London is the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority here.
  • A non-fatal casualty is anyone injured, from one given first aid or advised to have a precautionary check to one kept in hospital overnight. Deaths are not included.
