Notes

  • The money households have to spend or save after taxes and benefits, per person living in the area, at current prices, so not adjusted for inflation or for prices that differ between areas.
  • The ONS publishes these figures as official statistics in development. The latest year is provisional, and each release revises earlier years.
  • The ONS gives twelve authorities' figures only for the ITL 2 area their councils make up, which the table shows under the ONS's own name and code with the authority beside it: Merseyside (TLD7) is the Liverpool City Region, Halton included, and London (TLI) is the Greater London Authority's area. Devon and Torbay, Hull and East Yorkshire and Greater Lincolnshire come from its city and enterprise regions file under their own codes.
  • The West of England's household income is not affected by the ONS's correction to its GDP tables.
  • Cheshire and Warrington and Cumbria, set up after the ONS's latest register and lookups, have no figures yet.
