Notes

Each week runs from the Monday named. DWP places a claim by where the claimant was recorded as living when the week's figures were taken, matched by postcode to the ONS's lookup, and counts claims it cannot place as unknown, in Great Britain's figure only. Its weekly figures can be revised slightly in later releases as caseworkers move claims between weeks.
DWP rounds every figure to the nearest 5, so areas may not add up, and suppresses some to guard against identifying a claim ([k]), which the hub shows as suppressed.
Claims still waiting for a decision when the week's figures were taken, leaving out advance claims, which cannot be decided before the claimant reaches State Pension age. It is a count at one time, not a week's flow.
