Notes

  • The usually resident population at the start and end of the year to the 30th of June, and what changed it: births and deaths, people moving in and out (between Northern Ireland's areas, to and from the rest of the UK and to and from the rest of the world) and other changes. Moves between Northern Ireland's own areas are nil for Northern Ireland as a whole.
  • NISRA rounds its figures, so it warns that totals may not add up exactly; in the year shown they do. It considers its population estimates precise to no better than the nearest 100.
  • The map and chart show births; the table and each constituency's page give every component.
