General needs homes for social and affordable rent owned by private registered providers of social housing (housing associations) with over 1,000 homes, from the Regulator of Social Housing's returns. Supported housing, housing for older people and smaller providers' homes are left out.
Homes not available to let are those not ready for a tenant, awaiting essential repairs and the like.
