Notes

  • Families getting Child Benefit for at least one child on the last day of August, by where they live, including those who opted out of payment because of the High Income Child Benefit Charge. HMRC rounds each count to the nearest 5, so councils do not add up to their region exactly.
  • HMRC still lists Buckinghamshire and Dorset as counties, which they no longer are; those rows are left out. Families HMRC cannot place, or who live abroad, count only in the UK's total.
